My Mobo has four fan connectors.  Only three of them show up in the BIOS.

Only three show up in Hardware Monitor.

My Mobo has never shown voltages in nvidia control panel. (There are five panels for voltages).

Hardware Monitor shows seven voltages.

And now my USB sockets are dying one at a time.

What the heck is wrong here. I can play games and do internet stuff, but I love techy fiddling.

If a telltale tells me zilch I feel cheated.

Is this particular motherboard known to be a pain in the .......... ?

ASUS website forums don't seem to have any of these problems showing up.

Anybody want to give me a coupla cents worth?  Please?

Nothing wrong with that specific model, but your motherboard is dying.

As it is three and half years old, you can't RMA.

You have no other choice but to buy a new one, and here I would insist you to upgrade your system, not just the motherboard, if you have enough budget.

Thanks D6.....

Take a look at my sig please.

I would think that motherboard and CPU would be enough of an upgrade. Tell me what you think.

Honestly you should be able to replace just the motherboard. That CPU is bound to have at least a few more years left in it.

Sorry. Made a mistake. One more problem: My monitor goes black and shuts down. Started this afternoon. And it is rather slow to get from password to windows.

There are a number of MoBo's that support AM3 as well as AM3+

Asrock 970 Extreme 4      $104

Asrock 990FX Extreme 4  $159

Asrock  990FX Extreme 3 $129 (this one is a narrow board)

Asus Sabretooth 990FX  R2.0  $199   (to expensive)

The Asrocks all say they support AM3 as well as AM3+ And they support SLI if I want it.

Should I go for the cheapest one, as If I have to get an expensive Mobo I may as well go Intel????

Thanks for the input.

In my opinion, look beyond Asrock.

Assuming that your max budget is $110, how about these:

1. Asus M5A97 $95  http://www.newegg.co...N82E16813131873

2. Gigabyte GA970A-UD3 $103 http://www.newegg.co...N82E16813128519

or these 990FX boards (if you plan to spend ~$140:

3. Gigabyte GA990FX-UD3 $140 http://www.newegg.co...N82E16813128514

4. Asus M5A99x-EVO $140 http://www.newegg.co...N82E16813131874

No can do on any of those boards.

Need to look at PCCG or UMART in Australia.

I would say either http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=18661 or http://www.umart.com...bid=5&sid=78933

From memory you're in qld so it may be cheaper if you can buy online and pick up in store from one of UMARTs outlets.
