Can't install Ubuntu from flash drive

The led flashes so the USB is getting power. The screen says loading operating system...boot error

Personally I use "Unetbootin" to set up my thumb drives.

And for ther record i have to ask. You do mean install it to your hdd not your mobo right?
Do you have the bios set to boot from usb? I know when i ran a thumbdrive distro while waiting for my hdd rma that it would not automatically boot from the usb despite the lack of other sources.

You can also use with32disk imager while burning Ubuntu image to flash drive. I use it to burn any OS in to flash drives, and he best thing is it's free.
