Still not convinced with the CX range. TX or above for me!

The Silverstone Strider 400W for instance comes with two 6 Pin PCI-E connectors which shows a little more confidence in their power supplies ability long term?

Y poo? Because only 400W? If you have a 130W chip and one graphics card, why do you need more. How much juice can RAM and a couple HDs really require? One PCIe is fine also, right?

:dunno:

Enjoy your Channelwell PSU: http://www.tomshardw...rer,2913-5.html

(Don't know if that's good or bad, just had to know what it *really* was)

My favorite deal was on the Antec (Seasonic) Neo Eco 620W that Newegg had a rebate for that made it $30 :woot:

Y poo? Because only 400W?

:dunno:

No not because of the wattage, it could be 1500w for all I care.

A poor unit is a poor unit, It doesn't matter if the Corsair logo is on it or not, that thing is no better than most generic horseshit PSU's.

I had the CX500 PSU in a build. Was quite good. Don't know what all the hate is about. For $26 it was a steal.

Yes, I know what a question mark is and you got the answer. Which was, no its not because of the wattage.

I'm not being smarmy, I'm asking what makes it a poor unit? Is it inefficient, unreliable, will it kill my mobo or CPU with power spikes, or what?

I mean it's a 80 plus bronze cert PSU...seems OK to the uninformed (ie me).
