I've noticed that the past 5-6 months my RAM usage is unusually high  , i currently got Chrome and Skype running and i'm getting 29% RAM usage , i've gone through all the " go to the boot-up processes and check your task manager but the problem still persists , any clue on what's going on? :dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:

Running a virus scan is always a good idea should you experience high RAM usage

Mine's exactly the same. 8 gigs, running Chrome with about 10 tabs open and 2 small programs in the background. Windows 8 x64, uptime 31 days, 12 hrs, 6 mins.

Mine sits around 12-15% so that would equal out as I have 16 gigs. Makes sense to me. When I ran 6 gigs usual idle ram usage was about 25-30%

I think he meant less than 29% aware of how to correctly calculate percentages lol

But yeah, that RAM usage seems just fine, the more RAM you give windows the more it will precache your most use applications in for your so things run smoother/faster. :)

I'm at about 2.85GB/16.4GB (my computer likes to use or lose 2GB of my memory whenever it feels like it) so I'm at a little over 17%
