Installed Windows 8, now I don't have wifi. My laptop connects but I don't have Internet. Now what?

Could still be drivers. I have a USB wifi that will work with Windows 7 for usually about 10 minutes and then dies, that is until I put in the correct drivers. The thing is it appears to have the correct drivers so this is really strange. No idea of the why, just accepted it and found the fix of putting in the drivers easy enough. Also for future reference, if you are going to upgrade or install a new OS, never due it with a close deadline. I mean if you have a week free or so, then it is a good time. NOTHING ever goes perfect.

I thought I was done for the day, until my professor assigned last minute work. :(

Just ran windows network diagnostics, it says I'm having an issue with my DNS server not responding.

Reinstalled wifi drivers, rebooted, no luck. Still that DNS error.

Just tried manually adding the DNS settings for Google. No luck. :(

Check your DNS settings and ensure it's set to automatically obtain (I know in W7 it's under Network & Sharing > Adapter Settings > Select adapter > Properties > IPV4 > Properties Posted Image
