I've spent the last 2 weeks finalizing all the parts for my build and have decided to go with the ASRock X79 Extreme6 Motherboard with 8gb of CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Quad Channel Memory.

I just looked at the Memory Support List for the Extreme6 Motherboard at ASRock.com.

I've searched almost half the supported Module #'s on that list and almost all are out of stock or twice the price and only at 1333Mhz instead of 1600mhz.

SOMEONE Please tell me that those are really the only memory modules that will work with this board, I'm about ready to just not build this new system all together!

The Memory Compatibility list contains only the Modules that are tested and confirmed working on the board with the Modules' rated specifications. It doesn't, by any means, tell you that only those Modules would work with the board. Most kits would work while others might not due to voltages or other small differences. Just get any kit designed for X79 and it would most likely work at the rated specification.
