Heya.
I've tried to get in contact with Logitech support for a while now over email (Don't have a phone....sad I know) but with no luck so far. You see I just got a pair of G35 Headphones as a present and they have an annoying tinnitus like tone in both ears. It's fairly weak but when there's no sound coming from the system it is clearly audible and slowly driving me nuts. It turns down a notch when the Mic isn't muted but still audible enough for me to turn on music to avoid raging. Has anyone else experienced similar from their G35 Headphones and possibly know the cause / a solution. I've noticed that it isn't until the USB connection powers up ( Drivers Load up etc.. ) that it appears, but I guess that's to be expected. Thanks in advance. ~Illa |

It could be a possible short in the USB connection. Have you tried plugging them in to a different port and see if the problem persists? If it does, you may have gotten a bad USB connector on the headset and will probably need it fixed or RMA'd.

I tried switching over to another port and it went away....until the next time I rebooted. Seems to be a software thing or something.... annoying

This dosent sound like a short in the USB connector. Seeing as a USB connector only has 4 wires internally, and is a DIGITAL system, a short within it, would probably make the whole device not work. Or worse, would short the USB ports on ur mobo and perhaps break the port/controller.
Sounds like a software problem, if it went away, and then only came back on reboot. If it was a short/hardware fault, I would expect it to occur independently of the machine. (ie, dosent matter about reboots) Have you tried these on another computer? -------------------- ![]() -----------------------------------------------------||Main||----------------||Vista Enterprise 64-bit||--------------------------------- ||C2Q Q9550 @ 3.4 + TRUE Black||4GB Corsair Dominator|| ASUS P5Q-E||Corsair HX520|| ||ASUS ENGTX285 1GB ||ASUS Xonar D2||SpinPoint F1 32MB 750GB ||DVR-216D || Card Reader|| ||Benq FP241W||LG L1710B||Logitech Z-5500||Logitech G15||Logitech G5||Logitech UltraVision|| -----------------------------------------------------||Second||----------------||Vista Enterprise 32-bit||-------------------------------------- ||C2D E6850 + Si-128||2GB OCZ SLi||eVGA 680i||Gainward GTS250||WD Caviar SE 250GB||PC P&C 610W ESP12 SLI|| -----------------------------------------------------||Server||-----------------||Server 2008 Enterprise 64-bit||------------------------------ ||C2Q Q6600||8GB OCZ Reaper||Intel DP35DP ||2x Seagte 80GB RAID 0 OS||3x Hitachi 500GB RAID 5 Data||PC P&C 610W ESP12 SLI|| -------------------------------------------------------||IRL||--------------------||XP Pro 32-bit / 7 Beta 64-bit||--------------------------------- ||AMD FX-57||2GB Crucail BallistiX||MSI k8N Neo2 Plat.||Saphire X1950Pro 512 AGP||Seagate 160GB||OCZ ModXstream 400W|| |

Not yet, but I'll try and bring them to work tomorrow and see if it is the same. |
