Heya.

I've tried to get in contact with Logitech support for a while now over email (Don't have a phone....sad I know) but with no luck so far.

You see I just got a pair of G35 Headphones as a present and they have an annoying tinnitus like tone in both ears. It's fairly weak but when there's no sound coming from the system it is clearly audible and slowly driving me nuts. It turns down a notch when the Mic isn't muted but still audible enough for me to turn on music to avoid raging. Has anyone else experienced similar from their G35 Headphones and possibly know the cause / a solution. I've noticed that it isn't until the USB connection powers up ( Drivers Load up etc.. ) that it appears, but I guess that's to be expected.

Thanks in advance.

It could be a possible short in the USB connection. Have you tried plugging them in to a different port and see if the problem persists? If it does, you may have gotten a bad USB connector on the headset and will probably need it fixed or RMA'd.

This dosent sound like a short in the USB connector. Seeing as a USB connector only has 4 wires internally, and is a DIGITAL system, a short within it, would probably make the whole device not work. Or worse, would short the USB ports on ur mobo and perhaps break the port/controller.

Sounds like a software problem, if it went away, and then only came back on reboot.

If it was a short/hardware fault, I would expect it to occur independently of the machine. (ie, dosent matter about reboots)

Have you tried these on another computer?

Not yet, but I'll try and bring them to work tomorrow and see if it is the same.
