If this is true (and it seems it is) nVidia is really starting to get on my nerves...first the Physx debacle and now this? ugh... myself being open minded i can understand the physx debacle, though I def don't like it. This, if it's true, is blatantly anti-competitive imo, and from my point of view simply tells me that nVidia knows its SLi technology is behind the times.
If this is true, and I were Lucid and/or MSI, I would sue nVidia. much like the EU case against Intel, for forcefully blocking competition. -------------------- Steam: fearspartan117

I think nVidia is worried that they'll lose profits from their SLi licensing more than anything.
I'd also be worried if I were them because SLi scales much better than Crossfire now...and if the Lucid chip works as promised we could see a drastic performance increase for ATI cards. -------------------- Desktop: | Q6600 @ 3.2 GHz | 128 GB GSkill Falcon | 8 GB WinTec AmpX | Sapphire 4870 X2 | DFI P35-T2RL | PCP&C Silencer 610 | W7 x64 | HTPC: | X3 720 BE @ 3.4 GHz | 4.5 TB Storage | 8 GB GeIL Black Dragon | PowerColor 4830 | ECS A-780GM-A | ATI Theater 650 Pro | OCZ Fatal1ty 550 | W7 x64 | Router/VPN/Compiling: | Opteron 175 | 4 GB DDR 500 | S3 Trio PCI VGA | Asus A8N-SLI SE | SinTek 500SLI | XP Pro | Office: | Dell Precision 390 | Core 2 Duo E6320 | 2 GB DDR2 667 | XFX 7800GT | Fedora 10 / Windows 7 RC | NetBook: | Asus EeePC 900A | 1.6 GHz Atom | 32 GB SSD | 2 GB DDR2 667 | Intel Integrated | W7 x86 | |

I am beginning to like nvidia less and less as time passes. They would seriously have to make a killer DX11 card for me to go back.

I guess this is what goes in place of a "backup plan"? (if the claims have any real substance)
