Yeah, so I've been here for quite a bit of time, you've probs seen me around the forums...

Anyways I've been frequenting OCC since June '08, registered that August, and OCC has been my third home, next to my actual home, and facebook. tongue.gif

I used to be mostly a reader, but as of late, I've been posting a lot more. I've had confidence/self-esteem and depression issues for a long time and thanks to the warm reception I've gotten here at OCC and the awesomest greatest girl i've ever met in the whole world (though i'm still working up the nads to finally ask her out .. -sigh-)

Down to business, my name is John, and I'm from Central New Jersey, in the good ole (debatable) US of A. I'm 21 as of May 25 of this year and I'm a Comp Sci major at William Paterson University of NJ, in my senior year, hopefully graduating after next Fall.

In my year and almost a half of being at OCC, I have learned a vast amount and I am immensely grateful (Thanks, OCC!! biggrin.gif) and I hope you find my posts and opinions helpful and informative as well. I love this place, and I greatly enjoy coming here; I've found the members of OCC not only exceptionally friendly and knowledgable, but as a whole rather balanced when it comes to competitive areas (ie Intel vs AMD, nVidia vs ATi/AMD).

There's no need for any Welcome to OCCs haha, I just figured that I should sort of introduce myself as I just kinda popped up out of nowhere smile.gif but feel free to welcome me if you want tongue.gif

I'm a very laid back and chill person, so feel free to say anything you'd like to say to me, I'm open to corrections if i'm wrong, comments, compliments, flames, high fives, suggestions, flirts.. tongue.gif

I'm happy to see that you overcame the depression issue. My father suffered from depression some years ago and I'm familiar to what living with it is like. Not good at all.

About confidence and self-esteem I've had some problems with that also but eventually overcame those problems, although in some situations I still lack some confidence.

What I have to say to you is GO FOR IT! I've been friend with this girl for like 2 years and I always liked her but I was sure she only saw me as a friend, until the day I asked her out. Dude I now have the girlfriend I always dreamed biggrin.gif

Hey man if you like the girl and work up the gumption to ask her out remember this, the worst thing that can happen is she says no. Simple as that, if she says no who says you can't be friends. Being in the friend zone sucks but it happens.

haha thanks for the encouragement guys. i plan to, next time we see each other, which probs won't be till the ides or after, most likely around thanksgiving time... but we talk practically everyday, whether through phone, text, AIM, email, and she knows i like her, I just have to make the official move, so to speak, and i feel it's best made in person rather than electronically.
