Agreed. Precision is awesome. It pulled me away from Rivatuner.

Also, you might want to try ATI Tool. Good for OC'ing as it'll instantly start "pinging" for artifacts and glitches as you OC.

I use AMD GPU Clock Tool for setting the core/memory and MSI Afterburner for setting the fan speed.

Good luck wink.gif

Close Catalyst Control Center first before opening AMD GPU Clock Tool. CCC seems to take command and not allow overclocks beyond it's limits while running. I close CCC, open AMD GPU Clock Tool and MSI Afterburner. Then I set the fan speed in MSI Afterburner to 100% but don't hit apply. Following that I set my desired overclock in AMD GPU Clock Tool then I hit apply for the fan speed in MSI Afterburner. You can open up CCC after this and confirm you clock speeds.

Just tried that but still the same. Think its my rig, it says in an error box "Failed:No valid devices found. (AMD GPU tool) EVGA just pops a box saying it didnt start bla bla bla .click close or search net for solutions.

The guy up top recommended it not me. Never used it and apperently it won't work. AMD GPU Clock Tool and MSI Afterburner are the only OC tools I've tried with a 5870 that have worked.

I'd try a reinstall of your drivers then try again.
