I am going to be buying a BluRay Player, and sadly even with the price drop of standalone BluRay Players it appears the PS3 still stands tall with best BluRay Players. The comparable BluRay Player I wanted was a LG for $279 that had features I don't care about. So even though I always prefered standalone players to game systems being used a movie player, I am now suckering myself into buying a PS3 Slim ...since I will actually use these bonus features. But you can't buy a PS3 and no games... well you cooould, but who does that?
So now I need advice on PS3 games. Name 3 PS3 you think I'd be stupid not to get. |

Not to threadjack but was MotorStorm any good or did that flop? That game was like a PS3 frontrunner a few years back... It was an average B-rated racing game. I would just pick up Borderlands (if your not planning to get it on another platform), MGS 4, and Uncharted 2. It was an average B-rated racing game. I would just pick up Borderlands (if your not planning to get it on another platform), MGS 4, and Uncharted 2. Borderlands is a must if you have friends who also have a PS3. If you don't have any friends with a PS3, I'd pass on Borderlands for the time being. I do agree with LittleBigPlanet, MGS4 and Uncharted 1 and 2. Get those four and you'd be all set for a time to come. -------------------- CPU: E6600 2.4ghz @ 3.06ghz

The 3 I was originally thinking was:
- Little Big Planet - Uncharted 1 - Killzone ...or MSG4 ...but was leaning towards Killzone Doesn't seem too far off from what has been suggested so far. I know nothing of any of those games though, other than they seem to be the ones with PS3s mention. For example, is it best to play Uncharted 1 before Uncharted 2 or does it not even matter? How good is Resistance and InFamous? And is MSG4 _really_ that good? I LOVED MSG1, but MSG2 bored me so I didn't even try MSG3. Would MSG4 bring back the same fondness I had for MSG1? Is MG4, InFamous, or Resistance worth replacing any of those 3 games I mentioned in the beginning? |

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Uncharted 2: Among Theves Batman: Arkham Asylum InFamous Little Big Planet I didn't care much for Resistance or MGS4. InFamous is a lot of fun, and I thought it was a better game than [Prototype]. Uncharted 2 is a different story, though they do reference a few things from the first game. You don't really need to play in order, but both are superb games. -------------------- |

Uncharted 1 is a good game, one of the few I played to the end.
MGS4 is a mixed bag - I really disliked the long running story sequences, then again I still played it to the end. Infamous seems like fun, I'm playing the demo at the moment and really like it. Motostorm is OK, probably best to rent it. I'm undecided on FPS on consoles but that's because I suck with a controller but Killzone 2 does look good. Could I also suggest the Lego star wars games. -------------------- E6600 + Stock Cooler | Gigabyte 965P DS3P Rev 3.3 (F4 BIOS) | OCZ 2GB PC2-9200 1150MHz Reaper HPC
